The automotive industry is undergoing a period of major transformation, marked by rapid progress in electrification and autonomous driving technologies, as well as the restructuring of supply chains due to geopolitical factors. In this age of increasing uncertainty, we are committed to identifying growth opportunities and driving our business forward with foresight and agile decision-making.
While the outlook for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) continues to fluctuate amid shifts in demand toward PHEVs and HEVs, we believe that the long-term trend toward vehicle electrification will remain unchanged. Accordingly, we continue to invest in research and development related to electric vehicles, while also focusing on technological development and product supply that can meet a wide range of vehicle needs, including conventional gasoline vehicles.
Furthermore, we are evolving beyond our previous role as a vehicle body system supplier to become a vehicle system supplier (Tier 0.5) that targets the development of the entire vehicle. As a development partner for automotive OEMs, we will be involved from the earliest stages of vehicle development to provide optimal solutions that meet customer needs and co-create the future of the automotive industry.
Although the business environment remains challenging, we will continue to pursue business model transformation and management reforms with agility and determination, as a resilient company that grows by boldly taking on challenges. We sincerely ask for the continued support of all our stakeholders.
